Check out the new, interactive Cape Town Green Map - an essential guide for visitors and residents to the eco-friendly destinations, companies, organisations, activities and much more in and around the city of Cape Town.An excellent new resource, funded by the City of Cape Town as one of the projects in the Green Goal 2010 Action Plan [pdf 1MB] - the programme to reduce the environmental impact and increase the socio-economic benefits of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
It includes green tips and provides opportunities for anyone to suggest additions tothe map. They will (when last I heard) also be producing some print versions of the map closer to the time of the World Cup in 2010.
You can register via the site to be a part of their volunteer network to grow the content and reach of the green map over time - a positive legacy of the World Cup.
[full disclosure: I was co-author of the Green Goal 2010 Action Plan, but did not have any direct role in creating the CT Green Map]
